SENSE LASER - THE DEFINITIVE AT-HOME HAIR REMOVAL

Sense Laser is a laser hair removal device specially designed to be used at home-like environment with the same professional results you could get at your beauty center.

  • It is completely safe because the laser light only focus in the follicle with no harm to the surrounding tissues. Thanks to this, it can be used for both, body and facial self treatments.

  • It is effective because has deeper penetration and the energy is directed straight to the melanin.

  • It is faster because thanks to its innovating at-home technology it can deliver pulses 5 times per second.

  • It is suitable for all skin types thanks to its HRR operation mode that can emit high repetition pulses delivering lower levels of energy density.

  • It is convenient because it works completely wireless and, because Sense emits coherent light, there will be no more unwanted flashes during the treatment. Sense includes a nice charging station which will look great whereever you place it to re-charge.

  • It is easy to use thanks to its smart trigger sensor (no need to press a shooting button). Sense will automatically deliver the pulse only when the head of the unit made perfect contact with the skin.

THE FASTEST AND VERY POWERFUL

FIRST AND ONLY AT-HOME LASER  WORKING IN 5HZ

Sense Laser has been developed to deliver an amazing shooting repetition rate of 5 Hz (5 flashes/per second). This makes it unique and the first and only at-home hair removal device which can reach such as high repetition rate. Thanks to this, you will be able to perform the treatments using the technique of maintaining the Sense in constant motion over the skin.

AND VERY POWERFUL

For those users who have lighter skin type (I-III) or to perform hair removal on those areas where multiple passes would be difficult, Sense Laser gives them the opportunity to select the maximum working level so Sense will deliver an energy density of 16 Jules/cm2 (lower repetition rate), which makes Sense one of the most powerful at-home hair removal devices.

TWO OPERATION MODES - MULTIPLE PASSES AND SINGLE PASS

Safety

Both techniques, HRR and LRR, are well clinically proven methods for hair removal with excellent long-term results but, while performing LRR, Sense never remains stationary in one spot so the skin is never subjected to a single pulse greater than 10 J/cm2. Since this is below the threshold of burning, the incidence of adverse effects should be lower, as well as the sensation of discomfort which is directly related to fluence, especially with dark skin.

Efficacy

HRR technique is based in lowering the energy by using multiple passes and, theoretically this could affect efficacy. At the contrary, it could even happen that the total energy delivered to the tissue with multiple passes exceeds the amount of jule per cm2 delivered with the single pass technique. It is simple to calculate by multiplying the number of laser pulses by the joules per pulse, and dividing by the area (in cm2) so the efficacy using HRR is not compromised.

Speed of treatments

We are going to consider a sample test area of 50cm2 (10 x 5 cm). The spot size of Sense is 1 x 1 cm. Working in HRR mode, Sense can provide 5 pulse per second with 1,5 J/cm2 energy density each one. If we slide Sense with a speed of 1 centimeter per second, it would need 50 seconds to complete treating the area and Sense would have provided a total volume of fluence of 15J/cm2.  Working in LRR mode, Sense can get to provide pulses every 3 seconds delivering 16J/cm2 each pulse so then, 150 seconds would be required to complete de area and the total volume would have been 16 J/cm2.

High repetition consists of doing multiple passes with Sense Laser over the area to be treated and in constant motion using lower level fluence compare to the energy density used when low repetition rate is used. This low repetition technique (single pass) is performed by shooting only once over the treated area so then, move Sense to next patch and shooting again.

SENSE LASER - HOW IT WORKS?

4.- After the required number of treatments the hair follicle is left unable to produce a new hair, with excellent long-term results.

3.- The heat either weakens or completely destroys the hair follicle. The hair that grows back is finer, lighter and sparser each time.

2.- Automatically and in a fraction of second, Sense Laser will deliver a pulsed light which will react with the target melanin and heats the hair follicle destroying the papilla responsible for hair growth.

1.- The hair is trimmed and Sense is placed on the area to be treated

SENSE LASER COMPARISON WITH IPL TECHNOLOGY

There are 2 main differences between Laser and IPL and they are both related to the light source used to deliver the energy:

1.-  Monochromatic (Laser) and Polychromatic (IPL)

Laser is monochromatic meaning that the light emitted from a laser is of one wavelength (colour) while IPL is polychromatic, meaning that IPL has many different colours and only a small percentage of these are effective in the treatment of hair reduction.

2.- Coherent (Laser) and Not coherent (IPL)

Coherent light produced by a laser differs from ordinary light in that it is made of waves all of the same wavelength and all in phase. Not coherent light contains many different wavelengths and phase relations. In more common language we could say that, while laser is always 90º light over the treated area with no waste out of the window source, the IPL light has a cone shape with unwanted flashes out of the emission window.

Sense Laser installs diode laser with a wavelength of 810 nm to selectively target one specific chromophore, which is melanin. This allows for deeper penetration and the energy is directed straight to the target and not absorbed by the other chromophores in the path of the beam. The concentrated beam focused in a specific target will not cause harm to the surrounding tissue when used properly.

Being so specific also means that laser hair removal can be more suited to people who have darker skin. This is because darker skin also absorbs more light than paler skin due to the amount of melanin it contains.
